Learning about Ramps

Mrs. Arnold's preschoolers just finished a science unit on how ramps work. Our preschoolers do not usually have homework, but with our remote days that we accumulated in the past month, our students were able to work together with their families to build ramps at home. The parents of our preschoolers sent videos to Mrs. Arnold of each student's ramp, so that they could discuss as a class what supplies were used, how they built it and what they used to go down the ramp. Within the unit, students problem solved in creating ramps that were high and would go a farther distance, as well as short ramps that would go a small distance. They discussed ramps that they would see in everyday life and how they help us. The students did a wonderful job being creative with their ramps they built at home! Please check out our district's social media page to watch some of the videos that our students submitted.
